Skip is a Partner and the Director of Research at OLIN, where he leads design and planning projects as well as OLIN Labs, the studio’s research practice. In our increasingly complex and resource-challenged world, Skip believes that landscape architecture, of all the design and engineering disciplines, is best positioned to positively impact the natural and built environment by integrating projects with their environmental, social, economic, and cultural context. Skip’s diverse portfolio includes major projects for the federal government, academic and corporate campuses, mixed-use developments, infrastructure, sensitive historic landscapes, and complex urban systems. This includes the 175-acre Apple Park campus in Cupertino, CA, Target Field Station, a multi-modal transit and civic park adjacent to Target Field in Minneapolis, MN and the 1.25-mile Alexandria Waterfront in Alexandria, VA. Skip is currently leading the design for the new Desert Storm and Desert Shield Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC which is scheduled to open in October 2026. The memorial has been more than a decade in the making and will honor the service and sacrifice of those who served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield and their role in this pivotal moment in the history of the United States.
