Built upon an extensive consultative process in which OLIN met with all major stakeholders and park constituents, the master plan articulates clear strategies for this existing 445-acre urban open space. The strategies complement the historic structure of the park, respond to current pressures from its expanding urban context, and create a vision that will sustain its renovation in the coming decades. OLIN worked closely with the Hermann Park Conservancy to develop each design concept reflected in the master plan. This successful collaborative relationship has resulted in projects that have consistency of intent and excellence in design, while maintaining extensive local involvement. Since the completion of the master plan, OLIN has participated in six of ten major projects identified in the plan.
