Nate Wooten is an associate at OLIN where he leads a range of project scales and types including stormwater and waterfront resiliency parks and larger scale municipal and regional planning efforts. Nate’s work is driven by a deep inquiry into a place’s environmental and cultural history, highlighting design opportunities that are embedded in their place yet flexible and adaptive to projective change. Significant large-scale projects at OLIN have included the Los Angeles County LA River Master Plan, Rio Hondo Confluence Area Project, and Sojourner Truth State Park Framework Plan. Other major projects at OLIN have included the Tom LaBonge Headworks Water Complex, Northwest Resiliency Park, and the Willis Tower.
Nate manages OLIN’s Tech Lab, where he directs research into data visualization and communication, and how new technologies can foster heightened interactions between people and their environment. In addition to his work at OLIN, Nate is also a licensed architect and teaches graduate landscape design studios at the University of Pennsylvania.
