AJ’s connection to the built environment is inspired by the interactions between humans and their local ecologies. Throughout his academic and professional career, AJ has developed a sharpened focus on utilizing contextual and regional level analysis to manifest site-specific design solutions that reinforce a “sense of place. Prior to joining OLIN, AJ received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his graduate degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. His work and studies have granted him the opportunity to solve design problems, large and small, around the globe. AJ firmly believes that landscape architects are responsible for improving the built world and restoring the interactions between people, the environment, and the places they inhabit.
